Data sharing – NGERs Australia

Australia’s National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme is very, very useful collection of disclosures of energy consumption and emissions from large Australian companies and electricity generators. I think there might not really be anything like it, anywhere in the world. It’s very useful. Eg, here’s a chart I made showing how Australia’s data centre operators have seen their emissions double:

I think NGERs might be one of the only places in the world where Amazon specifically discloses information about its energy. As you can see from my big tech page, they stopped sharing company-wide energy data years ago.

Annoyingly, NGERs only makes the files available as individual financial years. So, I’m sharing the compiled version I’ve made, below. Some of the files used were downloaded at the time of release, so the data may be out of date. Always check against the existing files, and any use is at your own risk.
